It also give a wider variety of providers compared to agency managed which is only for Registered providers. You have:

Getting plan management in your plan
Remember: The choice to use a plan manager is always yours
In your planning meeting, ask for plan management when your plan is being prepared.
A request for plan management funding can be done at any time in the duration of your plan.
At your planning or review meeting
It’s a good idea to have a think about your plan management options before your NDIS planning meeting as you may be asked how you want to look after the money in your plan.
If using a registered plan manager is the right option for you, simply advise the NDIS Planner or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) of your request to use plan management or have ‘Improved Life Choices’ included in your plan.
We can provide you with a letter to support you with the request to have a plan manager. All our details will be on this letter.
Change while your plan is active.
Plan Management Letter
If you already have a plan in place, but you are currently self-managed or agency managed, you can still request for funding for a plan manager at any time. This is still part of your choice and control.
The planner or LAC can do a ‘Light Touch Review ‘ to make the adjustment of changing your plan to be plan managed.
This can easily be done over the phone and should only take couple of weeks to approve if all is in order.
To request a change to your plan you can:
